... or the nature of Trek Sports
Space...the final frontier...endless possibilities to create a Star Trek Convention...and yet ...most are moving along established paths.
Trek Sports leaves these all too familiar paths and intends to create a new concept that will burst the frame of the usual Star Trek Conventions. In cooperation with a Munich Sports club, which will support us with team-mates and techniques and several actors from the Star Trek universe, the following will be Saturday’s agenda:
Togetherness in sports instead of backstage passes!
Trek Sports extends over two and a half days starting Friday evening. A comfortable get-together in the hotel lobby of our partner hotel with disco-platform for the ones among you who are eager to dance.
Meeting each other instead of panels!
On Saturday we’re heading towards the stadium after having breakfast together.
Teams, consisting of actors, fans and club members will compete against each other.
Let the bats glow playing baseball or score at softball!
Of course, autograph and photo hunters will also get their money's worth at the autograph mile.
This will be followed by the German premiere of Moq’Bara, a kind of martial arts which is only known from the series itself, live executed by J.G. Hertzler (Martok) and Bob O’Reilly (Gowron).
We bring it all to Germany!
The award ceremony will be at about 4 p.m. The team with the highest score wins free drinks at the after show party.
After a collective barbecue under the open sky auctions held will make sure that our charity partner receives the opportunity to collect money and call attention to problems and chances of how the institution can be supported. Donations are welcome and part of the gains from the weekend tickets will be given to our charity partner.
At 10 pm there’ll be the crowning end of the day in a VIP area of one of Munich’s scene locations where your stars will already be waiting for you to party on the whole night long!
Eating together instead of exclusive dining!
On Sunday, there will be reserved seats in what is probably the most famous
beer-garden in Munich: the beer-garden at the Chinese Tower. The tickets for that event are limited due to the limited space. So make sure you don't miss out: get an early reservation to secure your place in the sun next to your stars!
The weekend will be rounded up by a celebration in a restaurant, especially chosen for this event. Reiner Schone will perform songs from his new CD, Vaughn might be persuaded to play his Ukulele and J.G. and Bobby will perform their famous Klingon Rap…these guys knock back a few with hot blues rhythms…that’s for sure.
You never have spent that much time with your stars...that is the nature of Trek Sports.
